Slack

Glime can connect to your Slack workspace to provide answers to your user's questions directly in your workspace.

To connect Glime to your Slack workspace, you need to click in "Slack" on the left menu and then in the "Add to Slack" button. Be aware that you need to be an admin of the Slack workspace to add Glime to it.

Once connected, Glime will be able to answer questions from your users direclty on Slack.

Slack Settings

You can configure Glime's behavior on Slack by changing the settings in the "Slack" section of the left menu.

  • Answer DM (optional): Enable or disable Glime's ability to answer direct messages.
  • Icon (optional): Change the icon that Glime uses to answer questions on Slack.
  • Metaprompt (optional): When added these instructions will be use be Glime to answer questions on Slack.
  • Disclaimer (optional): When added Glime will add a small disclaimer at the end of the first message sent to the user.

Multi-Workspace Support

Glime supports multiple Slack workspaces. You can install your Glime bot in as many workspaces as you want. However, you can only have one Glime bot per workspace.

Whenever a bot is added to a new workspace where there's already a bot in that workspace, the old bot will be removed and the new bot will take its place.
